1.1.2 Techs

Techs are special to CTF games. They enhance your performance by off setting some damage or by increasing the damage you inflict. There are 4 techs which are standard and a fifth called the Keysner Grapple. Its not common on all servers so we will describe it here.

AutoDoc - Recovers your health and armour up to a maximum of 150. It will recover at 5 per second for both armour and health. If your armour or health is maxed it will recover the other (non maxed) will be recovered at 10 per second. The best tech to pass around your team, also the best tech for the flag runner.

Effect - Health and Armour recovery.

Time Accel - This tech doubles your rate of fire. You fire faster but eat the ammo much quicker. Great to use with the Rocket Launcher, and Super Shotgun. Don't use it with the Chaingun because you won't have any ammo left after 3 seconds. Good for base defense forces, works well on offense as well.

Effect - 2X Rate of Fire

Power Amplifier - This tech doubles the damage you inflict. It now takes much less to kill other players. This tech can be hazardous to your health however if you aren't careful, rocket jumping is gonna hurt alot more now. Strength + Quad Damage = Fucked Opponents. If you can get this tech and the Quad you are a walking gibbing machine. The Machine Gun works quite well with the tech and with Quad.

Effect - 2X Damage

Resist - This tech halves the amount of damage you absorb. Most people don't like this tech but if you use it right it can be the best tech of all. Works very well for offensive rushes. Very good for flag runners because they take less damage. Unfortunately most people believe that once they have this they can stop dodging, they know they can take 2X more damage so they step in front of more fire. Why they stop dodging is not understood, just remember that resist isn't invulnerability.

Effect - Cuts damage you absorb by 1/2

Keysner Grapple - As for where the name came from I have no idea. This is a great friend for any flag runner who uses the grapple while getting out. The Keysner Grapple works so that the grapple moves and retracts twice as fast as a normal grapple. This means faster movement with the grapple for the user. Specialized use only unfortunately, only works with the grapple.

Effect - Grapple travels and retracts 2X faster
