1.1.5 Armour

Here we discuss the wonderful stuff that absorbs damage inflicted upon you. It is the armour and it will keep your ass alive alot longer.

Jacket Armour - It is the weakest type of armour. It will transfer most of the damage to your health instead of absorbing it. It works against standard weapons, but is useless against energy weapons (Hyperblaster, BFG 10K, and Blaster). Only 1/3 of this armour will be transfered when you obtain Combat Armour. Bitch and whine all you want about how crappy this armour is but it is armour and any armour is good armour.

Armour Points per Suit - 25

Maximum Armour Points - 50

Combat Armour - A step up in the armour classes. An all around good armour to have. It offers medium defense against standard weapons and low energy weapon protection. About 2/3 of this armour will be transfered when you acquire Body Armour. Good stuff to have, especially when its the best you have at your disposal.

Armour Points per Suit - 50

Maximum Armour Points - 100

Body Armour - The best armour available in game. It acts almost like one full health point against standard weapons. Against energy weapons it acts like a half health point. Combine this with Power Armour and you are virtually invincible or at least very hard to kill. Since it absorbs the most damage of all the armours it diminishes the fastest.

Armour Points per Suit - 100

Maximum Armour Points - 200

Power Armour - This is a special type of armour. It bases its protection from your cell energy total. Power Armour allows for extra protection outside your hard armour. The Power Armour acts like just like normal armour except when you are hit with Power Armour equiped you display a green shell over your body. The damage is distrubuted between your cell total and your health/armour. It is split about 50/50, sometimes a small amount of it may not even be transferred to either suggesting the Power Armour also acts like a deflection shield. Since it uses cells, the use of the Hyperblaster and the BFG 10K are not choice weapons when using the Power Armour. Add Power Armour to Body Armour and you can be a force to be reckoned with.

Armour Points per Suit - 0, 50 points per cell battery collected

Maximum Armour Points - However many Cells you have available (Normally 200, 250 with Bandolier, and 300 with Backpack)
