1.1.6 Health Items

Health items are some of the most wonderous items in Quake 2 CTF. They can bring your health back up to full health from next to nothing. Knowing the locations of these items in the maps is huge, it can be the line between survival and becoming another gib in the sky.
First Aid Kit - These are your basic first aid packs, they only contain some bandages and other stuff so they aren't a huge boost. They are usually more common than the Medpack on most maps.

Health given per - 10

Maximum - 100 (default)

Medpack - A larger health boost thanks to the enhanced equipment included. The fastest way to get your health back to full. There are many throughout all the maps, but not quite as many as the First Aid Kit.

Health given per - 25

Maximum - 100 (default)

Mega Health - Instantly increases your health up 100 points to a maximum of 250. It will slowly decrease back to your standard 100 hit points. There is a catch however, if you have the Auto Doc tech it can maintain your health at 250 until you are hit. Once hit your health will lower but it won't continually drop and it will stay maintained.

Health given per - 100

Maximum - 250

Adrenaline - This item's function is slightly different from what it is in single player. In single player Adrenaline adds 1 to your current max health but in CTF and multiplayer in general it will only regenerate your health back to its maximum (which it does in single player also). This may not seem too important, but just wait until you are down into single digits and you will want an Adrenaline pack really quick!

Health given per - 1 to 99, depending on how low your health is

Maximum - 100 (default)

Stimpack - This is a small boost similar to the Mega Health except that it doesn't degenerate over time. The other important fact about the Stimpack is that there is no limit on how high your health can go, if you really try I suppose you could get your health into the millions.

Health given per - 2

Maximum - Unlimited
